Jane Rogers - Personal Assistant

Jane Rogers

Jane moved to Birmingham from Wales to pursue further education in European Languages for Business at Birmingham Polytechnic majoring in French.

After graduating Jane undertook a number of different bi-lingual secretarial posts, has always been interested closely in European affairs and has been working as PA to Mike Nattrass since December 2008.

Jane had a 30-year career with Alstom ultimately serving as the Contracts Administrator for the Northern Line project for London Underground, following service as Secretary to the Chairman, and then the Managing Director (Sales & Marketing - Bid Co-ordination).

Derek Bennett - Regional Liaison Officer

Derek Bennett

Although Derek was always interested in politics, in the early nineties he realised just how much power successive Conservative and Labour Governments had given to the unaccountable body, the European Union.

Derek acts as a speaker at public meetings for Mike in addition to organising meetings and meeting constituents on his behalf.

Derek writes a considerable amount of articles to keep the public up to date on the latest EU directives in addition to his own Euro Realist Newsletter.

Craig Winyard BA(Hons) - Media & Communications

Craig Winyard BA(Hons)

Craig graduated from the University of Wolverhampton where he gained a BA Honours Degree in Media & Cultural Studies and Social Policy.

He then went on to forge a ten-year career in local journalism, working for a number of newspapers, eventually becoming District Chief Reporter for Central Independent Newspapers.

Craig is now Media and Communications manager for Mike and is responsible for keeping the regional and national press up-to-date on Mike's activities and his campaigns.

Jill Stockdale BA(Hons), Cert Ed. - Researcher / Advisor

Jill Stockdale BA(Hons), Cert Ed.

After a Joint Honours degree in Geography, Geology and English at the University of Keele, Jill developed a highly successful career in teaching, involving a range of senior positions and responsibilities. She also supports Oxford and Cambridge candidates, works with the Open University in supporting 6th formers in independent study, and works as and independent education consultant.

She also assists in research, especially climatology and papers on climate change and CO2 emissions in relation to transport and other environmental issues, and dealing with queries from constituents.

A qualified silversmith, she is determined that the EU should not scrap our centuries old hallmarking system.

Andrew Illsley - Enterprise Advisor

Andrew Illsley

After 35 years in senior sales & marketing positions, for leading building materials companies and a board member of a Stoke- based international bathroom manufacturer, he gave export assistance to UK companies in the ceramics sector.

Andrew represents Mike on Regional and EU forums relating to exports, economic development and industry. He also gets a share of Mike's EU legislation queries from Industry, especially from Staffordshire!

Graduate of the Institute of Marketing and Diploma in Management Studies.

Paul Matthews - Transport / Property / Compensation Advisor

Paul Matthews

Paul has over 30 years experience as a Chartered Surveyor working for various firms throughout the West Midlands including Prudential. During this time he has been involved in local taxation issues, compulsory purchase, rating and council tax banding issues, costing of road schemes and industrial and commercial valuations.

Paul is now Transport / Property / Compensation advisor to Mike Nattrass and deals with related issues.

Paul reports on topics such as repossessions and sales of domestic and commercial premises and why the law needs changing. The cost impact of proposed schemes and the Law of Property in general.
